Owen Sound Attack News Release
Hockey Canada announced today that Owen Sound Attack Head Coach Al Letang has been named to the National Junior Team as a Pre-Scout Coach for the upcoming World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
Letang has been with the Attack organization since the 2016-17 season, and named Head Coach in January of 2019. He last worked with Hockey Canada in 2018-19 as part of the U17 Development Camp as an Assistant Coach.
The Attack Head Coach knows this is an important honour: "It's a huge privilege and opportunity to further my development as a coach around a staff like this. Anytime you surround yourself or get to e involved with Hockey Canada you have to take advantage of it."
Attack General Manager Dale DeGray is excited for his head coach: "This is such a great opportunity for Al. He's worked hard, and to be recognized by Hockey Canada is a big honour. We couldn't be more proud of him and we wish him the best of luck this Christmas in Europe."
This year, the World Juniors are being hosted by the Czech Republic and will run from Thursday, December 26th to Sunday, January 5th.
