Legends Snap Streak with Big Win over Blue

FRISCO, TX- The Texas Legends (13-15) dominated the Oklahoma City Blue (21-10) 128-101 Friday night in Frisco behind a combined 50-point effort from Ben Gordon and Andre Dawkins to break a five-game losing streak.

OKC started the game with a 6-0 run before the Legends saw the board. Texas took over midway through the first and built a 14-point lead before the buzzer behind a 12-point quarter from Manny Harris. Texas extended the lead to 18 early in the second, but the Blue had an answer. The visitors shot 60% collectively, led by Josh Huestis with 14 to outscore the Legends 35-27 and cut the deficit to four heading into the locker room.

The Blue took their second and final lead of the night three minutes into the third behind nine straight points from Dakari Johnson. The two teams would tie it up five more times before Dawkins' eight late points put the Legends in position to take the win. Texas ran away with the fourth, grabbing 36 points on 58% shooting and holding the visitors to 15. Texas shot lights-out to end the game on their largest lead of the night.

The Legends finished at 54.7% overall and had six players in double-digits. The home team dished out a season-high 30 assists while grabbing a second-place 17 steals. Gordon and Dawkins led the Legends' scoring efforts while Harris came up one assist short of a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Dawkins also knocked down a team season-high seven threes.

Johnson led the Blue with 25 points, 9 rebounds while Huestis added 19 points, 5 boards. Daniel Hamilton dished out a team-high 5 assists along with 4 points, 3 steals.
