Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX, (Feb. 4, 2017) -The Texas Legends (13-16) fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (21-11) 113-139 Saturday night in Frisco.

Sioux Falls grabbed the lead immediately and held on for a wire-to-wire victory. The Skyforce edged a 16-point advantage early in the second before a balanced attack from Texas began to chip away at the lead. Ben Gordon finished the half with a long ball to make it a six-point difference but two makes from the Skyforce charity stripe would put the score at 64-56 at the break.

Manny Harris knocked down 4-of-5 for 11 third-quarter points, but the Skyforce were uncontainable, finishing with 41 to take a 17-point lead on the home team. Texas' shooting went cold in the fourth and Sioux Falls finished their dominant night shooting 60% from outside.

Harris led the Legends with 26 points in 35 minutes to go along with a team-high 5 assists. JJ Avila (17 points, 12 rebounds) and AJ Hammons (10 points, 10 rebounds) added double-doubles while Bryson Fonville and DeJuan Blair finished with 12 points each.

Keith Benson powered the Skyforce with 26 points, 13 rebounds while Patrick Miller added a double-double of his own with 22 points, 10 assists.

The Legends will return to action Tuesday hosting the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7pm CT. For tickets or information visit www.TexLegends.com .
