
Legends' Homestand Continues with Christmas in July, Denny McLain, Splash Day and More

Christmas is coming soon - to Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
Christmas in July will be part of the current Lexington Legends homestand, as will the more seasonal Day Camp Splash Day, a Car Club Night, Faith and Family Night, Ford Fireworks and other popular promotions.
In addition, the Legends will welcome a very special baseball guest Friday night - Denny McLain, the last 30-game winner in Major League Baseball. McLain compiled a 31-6 record with a 1.96 earned run average for the 1968 World Series champion Detroit Tigers.
The Legends play game two of their four-game series against the Kannapolis Intimidators, an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday. Then the Hagerstown Suns, an affiliate of the Washington Nationals, will provide the opposition for the remaining four games beginning Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

Wednesday, July 11: Legends vs. Kannapolis, 12:05 p.m. Wednesday is Day Camp Splash Day, and fans of all ages can enjoy a variety of fun that might involve getting a little wet.
Thursday, July 12: Legends vs. Kannapolis, 7:05 .p.m. Fans who drive vintage or historical cars are invited to drive them to the ballpark on Car Club Night. The Legends will salute one of their longtime partners with "Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Night." Every Thursday home game is a Thirsty Thursday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, presented by Urban Active. Fans can enjoy beer and Pepsi products for one dollar each.
Friday, July 13: Legends vs. Kannapolis, 7:05 p.m. Denny McLain will throw a ceremonial first pitch, and will also be available for autographs and photos. Watch for details later this week. A Ford Fireworks show will follow the game.
Saturday, July 14: Legends vs. Hagerstown, 7:05 p.m. It's Christmas in July, presented by the Salvation Army, and Santa Claus will make an appearance. Also, Asbury University presents Faith and Family Night, with Christian music on the plaza before the game and player testimonies following the game. A Ford Fireworks show will also follow the game.
Sunday, July 15: Legends vs. Hagerstown, 1:35 p.m. Every Sunday home game is a JIF Kids Club Sunday. Kids Club members receive special benefits such as t-shirts, discounts at the Legends Locker and many more. (More information is available at lexingtonlegends.com.) Kids run the bases after each Sunday home game.
Monday, July 16: Legends vs. Hagerstown, 7:05 p.m. At every Monday night home game, kids eat free, presented by Members Heritage Federal Credit Union. Each child age 12 or under will receive a voucher good for a healthy "Better Bites" combo.
Tuesday, July 17: Legends vs. Hagerstown, 7:05 p.m. Tuesday night is 35-cent hot dog night. The price is in recognition of the Ford F-150 being the number one selling vehicle for 35 consecutive years.
