
Legends Fend off Toros in Austin

CEDAR PARK, TX, (Jan. 12, 2014) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), traveled to Austin immediately after hosting Rio Grande Valley last night, and defeated the Toros on their home court 114-105.
The match was hard fought with 13 lead changes and 7 ties, but the Legends came out on top. Texas had six players with double-digit scores and two with double-doubles on the night. The Legends pulled away in the fourth quarter, going up by as many as 18, but the Toros fought to catch up, ultimately trailing by nine.
Terrel Harris posted his first double-double as a Legend with a season-high 28 points and 10 rebounds. Melvin Ely had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Devin Ebanks added 21 points and 3 rebounds. Ronald Murray led the Toros with a game-high 31 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
The Legends will face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on the road Friday, Jan 17 before returning home to the host the Toros at 7pm on Jan 18. For tickets or information visit www.TexLegends.com.
