
Austin Toros Fall to Texas Legends 105-114

Austin, TX Jan. 12 2014- The Austin Toros fell to the Texas Legends 105-114 in a hard fought contest Sunday afternoon at Cedar Park Center.
Toros' Flip Murray led all scorers with 31 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Malcolm Thomas, Spurs assignee, contributed 15 points and 17 rebounds making it his fourth double-double of the season.
The Legends had six players finish in double-digits including Terrel Harris who earned a double-double and a season high 28 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Melvin Ely also had a double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds), and David Ebanks contributed 21 points.
The closely contested match between the Toros and Legends saw 13 lead changes and seven ties. The Legends began to pull away half-way through the third quarter following an eight-point run. The Legends led by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter. Although the Toros came within six in the final two minutes of play and outscored them in the last quarter, the Legends were able to pull off the win.
The Toros and Legends compete again in Frisco on Jan. 18 at 7:00pm. The Toros next home game is Jan. 23 against the Idaho Stampede at 7:30pm at Cedar Park Center.
