Legends Fall to Spurs in Season Opener

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Legends hit the road for their season opener, falling to the rival Austin Spurs 104-82.

The Legends got off to a hot start, going up by nine after four minutes of play. The Spurs rallied back quickly, taking a 25-24 lead with 2:32 in the quarter and never looked back.

Jamil Wilson led the Legends with a double-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds. Allen Durham shot 6-of-7 for 12 points grabbing 7 boards and Brandon Ashley added an additional 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Bryce Cotton powered the Spurs with 23 points, going 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Atlanta Hawks assignee Walter Tavares added the Spurs' only double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and a game-high 4 blocked shots.

The Legends will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Blue this Sunday at 2pm CT before hosting the Spurs in their home opener Friday, Nov. 20th at 7pm at Dr Pepper Arena. For more information or the full season schedule visit www.TexLegends.com.
