Texas Legends News Release
Canton, OH -The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), were charged in Canton by a team vying for a playoff berth. The Charge took control early and held the lead through four quarters, defeating the Legends 94-112 and thereby clinching their division.
The Legends' defense was fighting hard to keep the score close, but were unable to pull together an offensive streak until the final quarter, where they outscored Canton 30-29. The Legends put up a balanced attack with six players in double-digits and 42 rebounds (to Canton's 36), but were unable to battle back shooting 38% to Canton's 56%.
Christian Eyenga was the leading scorer for Texas with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. Solomon Bozeman came off the bench to add 14 points for the Legends, while Chas McFarland added a season-high 13.
Canton was led by Kyle Weaver with 22 points and Antoine Agudio with 20 points.
