BOISE, Idaho - After trailing by as many as 23 points in the third quarter, the Idaho Stampede came back to beat the Bakersfield Jam 108-95. Idaho went on a 30-6 run to take a one point lead before the beginning of the fourth quarter, when they started down just 75-74.
Justin Holiday finished the night with 28 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks and was a catalyst in the comeback. Holiday netted 13 points in the third, along with 13 points from Sean Evans. Idaho (17-31) made 13-of-19 shots and 8-of-9 free throws, holding Bakersfield to just four field goals. The Stampede outscored Bakersfield 72-39 in the second half, shooting 64.1 percent in the final two quarters.
Evans finished the night with 23 points and seven rebounds. Fellow substitute Reggie Hamilton dominated the second half, totaling 11 of his 15 points in the final two quarters along with all of his 11 assists. Jason Ellis finished with 15 rebounds and four points and Justin Harper had 11 points, 10 rebounds. Durrell Summers added 16.
Bakersfield (33-14) was led by James Nunnally, who had 22 points and seven rebounds, while Stephen Dennis had 20 points, six assists and seven steals. Adam Koch added 17 points and Damion James had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Stampede play their final two games of the year on April 5 and 6 at home at 7 p.m. (MST).
