Legends Acquire James Nunnally and Damion James

FRISCO, TX (Feb. 20, 2014)--The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), today announced that they have acquired forwards James Nunnally and Damion James in a three team trade with the Bakersfield Jam and Springfield Armor.

The trade will result in the following: Texas will receive James Nunnally and Damion James from Bakersfield. Springfield will receive Devin Ebanks from Texas. Bakersfield will receive Terrel Harris from Texas and Dennis Horner from Springfield. The transaction was made official today.

Nunnally (6-7, 205, UC Santa Barbara) was selected in the second round of the 2012 NBA Development League Draft by the Bakersfield Jam. In 74 games with the Jam he has averaged 13 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Nunnally received a call up from the Atlanta Hawks this season and played in four games averaging 4.5 points and 2 rebounds in 13.6 minutes. In his four seasons at UC Santa Barbra, he averaged 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2 assists and was selected to the Big West All-Tournament Team three years in a row.

James (6-7, 230, Texas) was selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks and subsequently traded to the New Jersey Nets. As a rookie with the Nets he averaged 16.1 minutes in 25 games with 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds. In two seasons with the Bakersfield Jam, James has played 71 games averaging 15 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Last season with the Jam James was selected All D-League 2nd Team and All-Defensive 1st Team. James played four seasons for the University of Texas and holds the record for career rebounds in the Big 12. Averaging 13.5 points and 9.3 rebounds, he was selected All-American Second Team, Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team, All-Big 12 First Team and CBE Classic MVP.

James and Nunnally are expected to join the team on their road trip this weekend to Delaware and Canton. Both games will be broadcast live at 6pm CT on www.TexLegends.com.
