Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release

Wilmington, DE - In a contest that made the 2000 presidential election look like a blow out, the Wilmington Blue Rocks are proud to announce that Assistant General Manager Andrew Layman has been voted the Fans' Choice bobblehead winner for 2009.

As a result the first 1,000 fans to come to the Rocks' September 5 game with the Frederick Keys will receive a bobblehead of Layman's likeness.

Layman has been working in the team's front office since the modern Blue Rocks' inception in 1993. Over his 17 years with the team, Layman has served as Director of Merchandise and as Director of Stadium Operations, until being named Assistant G.M. in 2003.

Also up for consideration in the vote: Wilmington pitching coach Steve Leubber, Blue Rocks game-day staple Baba the Clown, and Rubble, the Blue Crew's alternate mascot.
