
Lawrence Phillips Named Player of the Week

Montreal, July 17, 2002 - Alouettes' running back Lawrence Phillips was officially named the Canadian Football League's top offensive player for week 3.
Phillips carried the ball 16 times for 105 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Alouettes' third win in as many games last Thursday against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Phillips also caught three passes for 32 yards.
This is the first time that Phillips earns player of the week honours. He currently leads the CFL with 299 rushing yards.
