Las Vegas Rally, Win In OT 3-2

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night in front of 4,032 fans at the Orleans Arena. Center Chris Ferraro scored 2:27 into overtime to lift the Wranglers to victory. Forwards Matt Beaudoin and Chris Neiszner also scored, erasing a 2-0 Utah lead. Goalie John DeCaro made 29 saves for his seventh win of the year. Las Vegas will host Phoenix at 7:30 PM this Friday night at the Orleans Arena.

Utah jumped out to 1-0 lead with the only goal of the first period. Ryan Kinasewich scored a power-play goal with only 1:40 remaining in the period.

The Grizzlies doubled their lead just 1:47 into the second period. Forward Mark Pavili scored his second goal of the year for the 2-0 Utah lead. Las Vegas started the rally midway through the second period. Center Chris Neiszner sent a one-timer past Utah goalie Mike Mole at 10:39. Neiszner's power-play goal was set up by Sean Owens and cut the Utah lead to 2-1.

Las Vegas would tie the game in the third period with an early goal by Matt Beaudoin. The Wrangler winger tallied his seventh goal of the season just 1:21 into the period tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, Las Vegas would receive a 5-on-3 power play with a pair of Grizzlies in the penalty box. Center Chris Ferrao blasted a one-timer past Utah goalie Mike Mole just 2:27 into overtime for the 3-2 win. Ferraro's tenth goal of the season was set up by Mick Lawrence and Mike Madill.

The Wranglers return from the holiday break on Friday, December 26th at 7:30 PM with the Phoenix RoadRunners.
