Larman returns as Amerks face Admirals

(Rochester, January 19)... Amerks General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers have returned forward Drew Larman to Rochester, and have reassigned forward Dustin Johner to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Larman will be returning to Rochester after spending four days with Florida. During that time, Larman participated in the Panthers' 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Buffalo native has two goals in 13 games with the Panthers this season. With the Amerks, Larman has 11 goals and four assists in 24 games.

Johner returns to the Everblades after playing in two games with the Amerks. Although Johner was unable to register a point during his stint with Rochester, he earned a combined plus-minus rating of plus-two in Rochester's victories over Iowa and Peoria. With the Everblades this season, Johner is third on the team in points with 30 (14+16) and has an impressive plus-minus rating of plus-five in 30 games.

Tonight, the Western Conference leading Amerks (28-11-1-0, 57 pts.) will look to pick up their sixth straight win as they take on the Milwaukee Admirals (20-14-3-4, 47 pts.) at the Bradley Center. The game is the fourth of a current five-game road trip for the Amerks. The 8:00 p.m. EST contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks.

Amerks forward Mark Mancari carries a five-game point-scoring streak (3+5) into tonight's game, while forwards Marek Zagrapan (2+2) and Dylan Hunter (1+2) have registered points in their last three games. Left winger Clarke MacArthur leads all Amerks scorers with 17 goals and 32 assists.

With 47 points, the Admirals currently sit tied for third in the West Division, eight points behind Chicago. They have won their last two contests and are 6-2-1-1 in their last 10 games, but have not played well at home this season, as they are 6-7-2-1 at the Bradley Center. Milwaukee's offensive output has been led by center Rich Peverley who has registered 17 goals, 28 assists and a plus-12 rating in 41 games this season. Peverley is also tied for the league lead with four shorthanded goals.

Rochester returns home to The Blue Cross Arena Wednesday, January 24th as they play host to the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:05 p.m.
