
Largest Crowd in Team History Sees Charge Win Big

The Canton Charge (15-14), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, topped the Erie BayHawks (11-18), 101-84, in front of 4,032 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on Saturday night. With standing room only fans in attendance, Canton exceeded their largest crowd in team history for tonight's Cavs Night game.
Canton jumped out to an early 31-24 lead on Erie with a hot shooting first quarter of play where they shot 62% from the field. Antoine Agudio paced Canton after one period with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting. With the game tied at 18-18 with 4:28 remaining in the first, Canton used a 10-0 run to create space between the two Atlantic Division rivals and take control by never trailing for the remainder of the matchup.
The Charge controlled the glass to outrebound Erie 45-35, including 15 offensive boards to create extra opportunities on offense. Charge forwards Alex Kirk and James Singleton both reached double digit rebounds with 14 and 10 respectively. Canton saw five players score in double figures, with Stephen Holt leading the way with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Agudio finished with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Joe Harris had an all-around performance on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 13 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists in 30 minutes.
Erie guard Seth Curry, the D-League's leading scorer, had a strong night as he poured in 27 points, five rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes to lead the way for the visitors. Erie forward John Bohannon provided a nice burst off the bench with seven points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Drew Crawford netted 14 points with six rebounds in 41 minutes. The BayHawks moved the ball for 20 assists on 30 field goals in tonight's game.
The Charge hit the road for their next game for a visit to the Lone Star State to take on the Texas Legends on Wednesday, February 4th at 8:00 p.m. Canton will return home to face the Reno Bighorns on Thursday, February 12th at 7:00 p.m.!
