Drew Larsen's sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning gave the Lansing Lugnuts a 3-2 win Thursday night. Lansing starter Yorkin Ferreras went five shutout innings. Wisconsin starter Brandon Moorhead went eight innings and struck out seven. Neither starter was involved in the decision.

Uriak Marquez put Lansing up 1-0 with an RBI single in the top of the second inning. The Lugnuts (68-55 overall, 30-23 second half) made it 2-0 on a lead off homer by Kevin Collins in the top of the sixth.

Wisconsin (55-67, 24-29) tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. Mike Nesbit singled to start the inning and scored on a double by Nick Orlandos. A wild pitch moved Orlandos to third with one out. A grounder to third was bobbled to allow Orlandos to score the tying run.

In the top of the tenth, Tony McQuade drew a lead-off walk. Brian Dopirak reached on an error. A flyball to right by Collins moved McQuade to third. Larsen flew out to center and McQuade beat the throw home for a 3-2 Lansing lead.

Adam Jones started the Rattler tenth with a single against Chris Gross. Jones moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, and third on a grounder to the right side of the infield. But Gross got the final out on a grounder back to the mound to get the save.

The final game of the series is Friday night at Fox Cities Stadium. Jason Mackintosh (6-5, 3.75ERA) is scheduled to start for the Rattlers. Ronald Bay (10-7, 2.79ERA) is scheduled to go for the Lugnuts. Game time is 7:05pm.
