
Lancers Set to Slay a Pair of Teams from Eastern Iowa this Weekend

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers will do battle and conclude its season series with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Saturday Night (1/27). The Lancers lost their lone matchup with the RoughRiders back in October when Cedar Rapids spoiled Omaha's home opener in a very heated affair. Though the Lancers lost their first meeting this season with Cedar Rapids, the Lancers have dominated the RoughRiders in the month of January in the tier one era; holding an overall record of 8-1-0-2. The Lancers will then come back home Sunday (1/28) to take on the Waterloo Black Hawks. The 'Hawks and Lancers have gone back-and-forth in recent meetings where the winning team scored exactly 4 goals in each of the last 6 meetings.
OMAHA VS. CEDAR RAPIDS SO FAR
The Omaha Lancers will travel to eastern Iowa to take on the RoughRiders Saturday Night (1/27). This will be the 60th meeting between these two teams in the tier one era. The Lancers have controlled Cedar Rapids on their home ice with the Lancers holding a record of 16-9-0-3 dating
back to 2002. The last meeting between these two teams back in October had the most penalty minutes in its series history with 146 total.

Waterloo is second in the league in goals against in the second period of play giving up just 31 goals in the middle frame so far this season.
Waterloo has given up the third fewest shots in the league so far this season with just 926 shots faced.
