Lancers Forward Miller Commits to RPI

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Mark Miller has committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and will join the Engineers when his junior hockey career is complete. A first-year forward from Massena, New York, Miller is tied for fourth among all Lancers with five points and leads all Omaha skaters with four goals through the first 11 games of the 2010-2011 season. His 21.1% shooting percentage (four goals on 19 shots) is third best among all Lancers and Miller has produced a +1 +/- rating without committing a penalty to this point in the season.

Before joining the Lancers this season, Miller spent last year with Russell Stover's hockey program where he finished second on the team with 52 points thanks to 16 goals and 36 assists. Miller was selected 29th overall (Round 2) by Omaha in the 2010 USHL Entry Draft.

Omaha (6-4-1, 13 Pts.) returns to action this morning at the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, Michigan against the Lumberjacks. The puck drops at 10:30 AM EST, 9:30 CDT for this morning's contest and all the action can be heard on 1180 AM KOIL locally in Omaha or online at www.koilam1180.com.
