Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers, proud members of the United States Hockey League announced on Tuesday that they have acquired defenseman Michael Joyaux from the Chicago Steel in exchange for Grant Gabriele.

Michael Joyaux, a native of Bloomingdale, IL and former draft pick of the Tri-City Storm in 2013 was in his second season with the Chicago Steel. Last year, Joyaux recorded three goals and 18 assists in 59 games played in Chicago.

Prior to joining the Steel for the 2014-2015 season, Joyaux, the brother of former Lancers' defenseman Matt Joyaux, played in three games for the Tri-City Storm and 25 games for the Chicago Mission U16's where he scored nine goals and added 15 assists in a total of 51 games played over the course of two seasons.

Gabriele, a commit of Western Michigan University appeared in six games for the Omaha Lancers this season and had two points and a +2 rating.

The Omaha Lancers return home to Ralston Arena this Friday night as they hos the Sioux City Musketeers. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and fans can listen live beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Valpak Pregame Show on "The Mighty" 1290 KOIL, Mighty 1290 KOIL Mobile APP, www.mighty1290koil.com, and FASTHockey.com.
