Lancers Acquire Charlie Lieberman from Youngstown

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) have announced the acquisition of Defenseman, Charlie Lieberman and a 2025 10th Round, Phase I Draft Pick from the Youngstown Phantoms in exchange for a 2025 5th Round, Phase I Draft Pick and Future Considerations.

Lieberman, 19, of Naperville, Illinois, comes to the Lancers after skating in 11 games with the Phantoms on the current season, who sit in second place in the eastern conference standings at a record of 12-4-2-0, only trailing the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

The University of Massachusetts Commit, is still looking for this first point of the 2023-24 season, with a -2 rating and 27 penalty minutes on the year. With previously picking up 12 assists in 60 games played with the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League in the 2022-23 season.

Prior to his junior hockey experience, the 6-Foot-5, 225 Pound Defenseman, played a full season with the South Kent 18U AAA team, tallying 25 points (7G-18A-25P) in 60 games played.

Lieberman is set to make his debut with the Lancers Friday, November 24th, 2023 at the Tyson Event Center to take on the Sioux City Musketeers.
