Lambson Named Pitcher of the Week

WINNIPEG, MB - Winnipeg Goldeyes' left-handed pitcher Mitchell Lambson has been named the American Association's Pitcher of the Week for July 9th-15th.
In his lone start last week, Lambson pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout versus Sioux Falls on Wednesday night. Lambson walked one, struck out six, and completed nine innings on just 93 pitches. The Montclair, California native faced one batter over the minimum 27, and had faced the minimum through the first seven innings.
Lambson is 3-2 with a 4.10 ERA in seven starts and one relief appearance since re-signing with the Goldeyes in June. The 27-year-old left-hander has allowed one or zero earned runs in four of his seven starts, and has walked two batters or less in six of them. Lambson posted a 3.98 ERA in 61.0 innings for the Goldeyes during their 2017 championship season, and opened 2018 pitching for the Mexican League's Pericos de Puebla.
The Goldeyes have Monday off before opening a three-game series on the road at Sioux Falls on Tuesday. First pitch from Sioux Falls Stadium is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. All the action can be heard locally on 93.7 FM CJNU and worldwide at www.cjnu.ca
