Lakeland Magic Edge Windy City Bulls in Nail-Biter

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Windy City Bulls 104-98 in front of a home crowd at the RP Funding Center.

The Magic came out strong, leading by as many as nine points early in the game, but the Bulls battled back and finished the first quarter with a 25-22 lead. Both teams continued exchanging buckets in the second, with 10 lead changes in the quarter. Lead by Ferrakohn Hall's 16 first half points, Windy City had a three point lead going into the break.

Vic Law took control in the second half to help the Magic regain the lead at the end of the third quarter. The final period was back and forth as Milton Doyle lead the Bulls with 11 points in the quarter. With the game tied and 26 seconds left, Isaiah Armwood came up with a huge steal and pass to Hassani Gravett who would take it the distance to score on the break. The following possession, Gravett stole the ball from Doyle and pushed the break again, hitting Michale Kyser for the dunk and the foul. Kyser made the and-one free throw and the Magic held on to win 104-98.

Law finished with 29 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Andrew Rowsey scored 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Recent Magic addition, Armwood, had his best game yet in Lakeland, posting 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Doyle lead the Bulls with 24 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals. Hall added 23 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Thomas Wilder added 16 points and five rebounds off the bench.

The Lakeland Magic are back at home on Saturday, January 18 to take on the Iowa Wolves. Tip-off at the RP Funding Center is set for 7:00 PM. The game will be available on
