Lake Monsters Host Final Homestand August 31-September 4

BURLINGTON, VT --- The Vermont Lake Monsters will close out the 2013 season with a five-game homestand at historic Centennial Field Saturday, August 31st through Wednesday, September 4th . The homestand will include giveaways of Smart Phone Cases and 20th Anniversary Season card sets, while Military Appreciation Night on Monday.

Sunday will see "Nine Innings of Winning" as nine lucky fans (18 & older) will win a two-year lease on a brand-new vehicle courtesy of the Autosaver Group. For more information on the promotion, go to vermontlakemonsters.com and click on "Nine Innings Of Winning" under Tickets and Promotion tab.

The homestand also sees the addition of the Oakland Athletics first-round pick in the 2013 draft as outfielder Billy McKinney has joined the Lake Monsters for the final week of the season. McKinney, the 24th overall pick in the first round, is joined by fellow Arizona League teammates Joe Michaud and Ronald Herrera as newcomers on the Vermont roster.

The Lake Monsters will host the Connecticut Tigers on Saturday at 6:05 pm and Sunday at 5:05 pm before closing out the season with games against the Staten Island Yankees on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:05 pm.
