Lake Diefenbaker Slough Sharks Make Their Return

November 6, 2024 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Swift Current Broncos News Release

Swift Current, Sask. - A tradition that started two years ago is making its triumphant return to the Stable and soon the frozen pond as the Swift Current Broncos alter ego the Lake Diefenbaker Slough Sharks will be back on the 'lake' Saturday December 28th against the Prince Albert Raiders at the InnovationPlex.

This year's version of the Slough Sharks will see brand new merchandise that will be available for purchase at the Stable starting Saturday, November 9th at Noon. Slough Sharks merch doesn't stay on the shelves for long so fans are encouraged to come early to get their first look at the new Slough Sharks gear before it's gone.

"We're very excited to bring back the Lake Diefenbaker Slough Sharks for another special night this season." said Kevin Simpson, Executive Vice President of Business Operations.

"Our fans and players really love the Slough Sharks jerseys and merchandise, and we always try to have some fun with it on game day. Former Broncos captain Taylor Vause did an amazing job designing the Slough Sharks logo a few years ago and I see fans wearing the Slough Sharks merchandise all over the community,"

"Our merchandise team did a great job bringing in a lot of new custom Slough Sharks merchandise this year, and I think fans are going to love it!"

Historically the Slough Sharks in their alternate threads are 1-0-0-1 with their most recent game coming against Prince Albert on December 1, 2023 in a 4-3 shoot-out loss to the Raiders.

Tickets for the December 28th Slough Sharks game against Prince Albert are now available and can be purchased in the Stable or online at scbroncos.com.
