Lake County Captains Forecasting a Sharknado on Thursday, August 15
July 25, 2013 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Lake County Captains News Release
Eastlake, OH - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are offering Classic Park as a location to take refuge from a SHARKNADO that has been forecasted on Thursday, August 15 during the club's game against the South Bend Silver Hawks.
With the recent SHARKNADO in Los Angeles and another one forecasted to strike New York in 2014, the Captains fired up Classic Park Dual-Doppler Skipper 2010+ to determine if Northeast Ohio was in any danger. After seeing the results, and upon consultation with all of the leading weather experts and marine biologists, the Captains determined that the SHARKNADO will hit Eastlake on August 15 and that sharks will be scooped up out of the waters of Lake Erie and will be falling on fans from the roof top at Classic Park.
Heavy security will be hand as the Captains are preparing for a shiver of sharks in the concourse and on the field during the game. The sharks, which may or may not be humans dressed in shark costumes, will be involved in on-field promos throughout the night.
Fans can protect themselves form the sharks and commemorate the night by getting temporary shark tattoos made with shark repellent and can extinguish their appetites with gummy shark treats, both of which will be distributed to everyone in attendance.
With all of the action taking place throughout the evening, fans age 21 and older are likely to want to quench their thirst via specials that the Captains will be offering on Landshark Lager from the Margarita Brewing Company.
Local card sharks are encouraged to take advantage of the complimentary table games that will be taking place at designated locations throughout the concourse.
For more information on using Classic Park as a safe haven for the evening, fans can purchase tickets on-line at CaptainsBaseball.com, at the Classic Park box office or call 440-954-WINS(9467).
