LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that right-hander Justin Jackson has been promoted to A-Advanced Dunedin while left-hander Matt Boyd, the Toronto Blue Jays' 6th round selection in the June draft, has been activated and assigned to Lansing.

Jackson, 24, had suited up for the Lugnuts as a position player during the 2008 and 2010 seasons before returning in 2013 as a pitcher. In 22 appearances, the Asheville, NC, native posted an 0-2 record with a 2.25 ERA in 32 innings.

Boyd, 22, was drafted 175th overall from Oregon State University, where he had recorded a 22-5 mark alongside a 2.11 ERA in 100 total appearances, including 11-4, 2.04, and 122 strikeouts as a senior in 2013. In the southpaw's most notable outing this past June, he hurled a four-hit, 11-strikeout shutout, as the Beavers eliminated the Indiana Hoosiers from the College World Series, 1-0. Boyd has yet to make his professional debut.

Lansing's roster now consists of 25 active players with five players on the Disabled List and one player on the Temporarily Inactive List.
