The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) dropped its second match in a row on Sunday, falling 2-0 to the Sounders FC at Lumen field in Seattle. Seattle used two second half goals to spoil the return of LAFC's Carlos Vela, the 2019 MLS MVP, who entered as a substitute in the 70th minute after missing the previous three games with a quad injury.

After a scoreless first half, Seattle took the lead in the 57th minute on a goal by Xavier Arreaga off a corner kick. Brad Smith put the Sounders up 2-0 in the 73rd minute, smashing in a close-in header off a counter attack.

LAFC returns to action on Saturday, May 22 as they return home to Banc of California to host the Colorado Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Estrella TV and on radio 1110 AM ESPN and 980 AM La Mera Mera.
