LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy (4-1-0, 12 points) will travel to face Portland Timbers FC (2-3-0, 6 points) this week on Saturday, May 22 at Providence Park live on ABC and ESPN Deportes at 12:30 p.m. PT.

LA Galaxy are 10-10-6 against the Portland Timbers all-time with a 3-6-3 record when playing at Providence Park. In the last meeting between both clubs on October 28, 2020, LA Galaxy lost 5-2 on the road against the Timbers. The team's last win against the Timbers came on Sept. 2, 2020 with a 3-2 road victory with goals from Efrain Alvarez, forward Cristian Pavon and midfielder Joe Corona.

The LA Galaxy earned a 2-0 win over Austin FC on Saturday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park with goals from LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget and forward Javier Hernandez in the first-ever meeting between both clubs. With the 2-0 win, LA earned their first shutout of the 2021 MLS regular season. The Galaxy are now 4-1-0 (12 points) on the season, with 10 goals scored and eight conceded, and sit in second place in MLS trailing only Seattle Sounders FC (16 points). Hernandez tallied his league-leading seventh goal of the season on Saturday against Austin FC and now has seven goals and one assist in just five games this season with the club.

The LA Galaxy will continue to adhere to comprehensive health and safety protocols, including regular testing of players, coaches and essential staff for COVID-19. Due to MLS safety protocols, LA Galaxy media availabilities are not open to media to attend in person. The LA Galaxy Communications team will provide media resources, including b-roll from the team's training sessions, photography, and recordings of virtual media availability. Players and coaches will be available to media members virtually on a regular basis.
