Los Angeles FC News Release

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) invites fans and supporters to join the Club as a 'Force For Good' in the Los Angeles community during the holiday season. Throughout the offseason months, the Black & Gold will host numerous volunteer opportunities and community activations encouraging LAFC fans to give back to the Los Angeles community.

The Club has partnered with organizations including Union Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity and LA's Best and will work alongside Club partners Kaiser Permanente, 99 Cents Only Store and Banc of California to give back to the LA community this holiday season. LAFC kicked off the month of November with a staff volunteer day at Union Rescue Mission in downtown LA. Staff spent the day in the kitchen prepping food ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday and served meals, hosted bingo games and participated in other interactive activities with Mission residents.

Continuing our goal to be a force for good with our community partners, LAFC and Kaiser Permanente hosted a Community Fit event alongside afterschool enrichment program, LA's Best. The event began with a presentation by leaders from LAFC, Kaiser Permanente and LA's Best. Following the presentation, students had the opportunity to participate in Kaiser Permanente's "Thrive Zone" activation, several LA's Best activities and sport stretches led by Kaiser Permanente and LAFC first team physician, Dr. Robert Sallis.

LAFC hosted their second annual Toy Drive with 99 Cents Only Store on Saturday, December 7. Over 500 toys were donated during the drive with proceeds going to members of the Union Rescue Mission. LAFC players Mark Anthony Kaye and Jordan Harvey were on hand for the event and spent their time creating holiday crafts with children and shopping for gifts.
