
LA Galaxy to Play Host to Seattle Sounders FC in Round of 32 of 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy will play host to Seattle Sounders FC in the Round of 32 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. PT, it was determined as U.S. Soccer announced the Round of 32 matchups. Broadcast details will be announced in the coming days.
LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members will automatically receive complimentary tickets to this match, as a benefit to their membership. A presale for additional tickets will be available for Season Ticket Members on FanAccount starting Friday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. PT. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. PT via www.lagalaxy.com/tickets.

Dating back to their first U.S. Open Cup match in 1999, the LA Galaxy hold an all-time record of 35-18-1 in the competition and have been crowned champions twice (2001 and 2005). 2023 marks the 108th edition of the U.S. Open Cup, which began in 1913 and is the oldest national soccer competition in the United States.
The U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 match between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders FC marks the 47th meeting across all competitions between the two teams, with the Galaxy trailing the all-time series 15-18-13. Against Seattle, the Galaxy hold a 10-13-13 record in league play, a 4-3-0 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 1-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In the last U.S. Open Cup meeting between LA and Seattle, the Galaxy earned a 4-2 win over Sounders FC in the Quarterfinals of the tournament on July 20, 2016.
The LA Galaxy return to MLS action when the club travels to face Orlando City SC at Exploria Stadium on Saturday, April 29 (4:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
