LOS ANGELES - After an important 3-2 road win in Minnesota, the LA Galaxy are back in Los Angeles and return to Dignity Health Sports Park with another opportunity to climb the Western Conference table as they face the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. PT on Apple TV.

Saturday will also mark Mexican Heritage Celebration Night at Dignity Health Sports Park. Fans entering the stadium will receive one of 15,000 Hirving "Chucky" Lozano posters. And while the ticket pack featuring a commemorative scarf has been sold out, the Jorge Campos Goalkeeper Half-Zip ticket pack remains available. Fans can also enjoy a variety of SoccerFest activations, including performances by Ballet Folklórico Alma de Oro de Carson, a Mexican-themed balloon photo backdrop and traditional sugar skull face painting. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to watch Lozano compete in Mexico's international friendly against Colombia (6 p.m. PT), which will be shown live in Galaxy Park, Legends Plaza and SoccerFest.

The celebration began last week when the LA Galaxy Foundation hosted students from Para Los Niños for a special community event alongside recent Sounds of the Galaxy-featured artist Cloonee, helping kick off a week of activities honoring Mexican Heritage Month.

LA Galaxy International Call-Ups

Last week, several LA Galaxy first team, second team, and Academy players earned call-ups to their respective national teams. Headlining the selections was Galaxy forward Hirving Lozano, who was named to the Mexico Men's National Team roster. After serving as a regular contributor for El Tri over the course of his international career, Lozano returns to the national team setup under new head coach Rafa Márquez. Meanwhile, defender Harbor Miller will join the United States U-20 Men's Youth National Team for its September-October training camp in Spain. In addition, a number of LA Galaxy Academy products received invitations to international camps with the soccer federations of the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador and the Philippines.

LA Galaxy vs Colorado Rapids - Saturday, September 26

As the playoff race intensifies, the LA Galaxy return home to face the Colorado Rapids, who currently sit three points ahead of LA in the Western Conference standings. In 88 all-time regular-season meetings, the Galaxy hold a 41-34-13 record against Colorado, including a 27-11-6 mark at home, and have won three of the last five regular-season matchups between the clubs. When the teams met earlier this season on March 7, the Rapids earned a 4-1 victory over a 10-man Galaxy side. The clubs split the 2025 season series, with the home team posting a shutout win in each match, as Colorado claimed a 2-0 victory in June before the Galaxy responded with a 3-0 win in August. In 2024, LA swept the regular-season series before defeating the Rapids 5-0 and 4-1 in the clubs' two playoff meetings to advance on its way to winning MLS Cup.

LA Galaxy vs Cruz Azul (Friendly) - Sunday, October 4

The LA Galaxy will host Liga MX powerhouse Cruz Azul in a friendly on Sunday, October 4 at 5:30 p.m. PT at Dignity Health Sports Park. The match will provide both clubs with an opportunity to compete in a high-profile international showcase during the final stretch of their respective league campaigns. Cruz Azul, one of Mexico's most successful clubs and the reigning Liga MX Clausura 2026 champion, returns to Carson after the two sides met during Leagues Cup play in 2025. The October 4 contest will mark the third all-time meeting between the clubs at Dignity Health Sports Park and continue a tradition of marquee matchups between teams from MLS and Liga MX.

LA Galaxy Legend Gyasi Zardes Retires

LA Galaxy Academy product and Homegrown player Gyasi Zardes announced his retirement from professional soccer on Monday, closing the chapter on a distinguished 13-year MLS career. A Los Angeles native, Zardes made 154 appearances for the Galaxy from 2013-17 across all competitions, recording 40 goals and 22 assists in that span, while helping the club capture the 2014 MLS Cup. The forward went on to score 122 goals in all competitions across stints with the Galaxy, Columbus Crew, Colorado Rapids and Austin FC, while also earning 68 caps and scoring 14 goals for the U.S. Men's National Team. Zardes, who won MLS Cup titles with the Galaxy in 2014 and Columbus in 2020, is set to be inducted into the Cal State Bakersfield Athletics Hall of Fame on September 26, 2026.
