Charlotte FC Acquires Forward Justin Meram from Real Salt Lake in Exchange for $200,000 General Allocation Money

CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte FC today announced the Club has acquired forward Justin Meram from Real Salt Lake in exchange for $200,000 General Allocation Money.
Real Salt Lake will receive $100,000 GAM in 2023, $100,000 GAM in 2024 and up to an additional $150,000 in 2024 GAM if certain performance-based incentives are met.

Meram, who is in his 15th season in Major League Soccer, has scored 54 career goals and added 55 career assists across the regular season and playoffs.
The forward has earned more than 30 caps at the international level for Iraq.
Meram was drafted 15th overall in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew where he spent nine years of his career across two stints, and played for Orlando City SC, Atlanta United FC and Real Salt Lake in addition to the Crew.
The deal was completed prior to the close of the Primary Transfer Window on April 24.
