CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Playing their second road match in the span four days, the LA Galaxy square off against Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium tonight , Saturday, May 18 (4:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV ).
Tonight's match at Bank of America Stadium marks the third all-time regular-season meeting between the Galaxy and Charlotte FC, with the series tied 1-1-0 (1 GF, 1 GA). In the first MLS regular-season meeting between LA and Charlotte, the Galaxy earned a 1-0 victory on the road before a then MLS record attendance of 74,479 fans at Bank of America Stadium on March 5, 2022. In the last meeting between the two teams, LA fell 1-0 to Charlotte at Dignity Health Sports Park on May 27, 2023.
Following a 2-2 draw on the road against Minnesota United FC on May 15, the Galaxy improved to 3-2-3 (14 GF, 12 GA) in eight matches played on the road to begin the 2024 campaign. Notably, Riqui Puig has notched seven goal contributions (2 goals, 5 assists) in seven matches played on the road this season, while Dejan Joveljić has six goal contributions (5 goals, 1 assist) in six games played on the road this year.
