PORTLAND, Ore. - Playing their third match in a seven-day span, the Portland Timbers fell short on the road against Minnesota United FC 2-1 at Allianz Field on Saturday night. Despite Timbers forward Jonathan Rodríguez opening the scoring in the 17th minute, Minnesota found a way to retaliate by scoring two second-half goals to take home three points.
Tonight's Notables
The Timbers have scored 26 goals through 13 matches, tied for third-most by any team this season so far. Portland has scored in each of its last three matches, tallying six goals in that run. In 10 matches as a Timber, Jonathan Rodríguez tallied his fifth goal tonight and his seventh goal contribution in the 2024 campaign.
