LA Galaxy News Release
LOS ANGELES - LA Galaxy midfielder Efrain Alvarez has been named to the 21-man roster by Mexico's U-17 head coach Marco Antonio Ruiz for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019, Mexico announced today.
Alvarez and Mexico are in Group F in the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019 alongside Paraguay, Italy and the Soloman Islands. After opening against Paraguay (Oct. 28), they will face Italy (Oct. 31) and Soloman Islands (Nov. 3) to round out group stage play. Should Mexico advance, Alvarez would remain with Mexico for as long as the team remains in the tournament, with the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019 Final set for Nov. 17.

Alvarez and Mexico will travel on Oct. 8 to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to continue their preparation for the tournament.
The LA Galaxy will travel to Allianz Field for a match against Minnesota United in Round One of the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. PT in a game broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
