FC Golden State Force defeated USL side Las Vegas Lights to advance to the Fourth Round of the U.S. Open Cup as one of three amateur teams.

FC Golden State earned a 90th minute penalty kick that gave them the 2-1 win last month at Downey, California's Allen Layne Stadium.

Head Coach Sigi Schmid trotted out a lineup that featured both LA Galaxy players and players loaned up from LA Galaxy II in USL.

Three players made their first-team LA Galaxy debut in competitive matches Wednesday night: Justin Vom Steeg, John Requejo, Julian Buscher and Ethan Zubak.
