"Michael is a dynamic attacker who has the capacity and quality to play wide or through the middle," said LA Galaxy Head Coach and Sporting Director Greg Vanney. "His experience and success in the league will be an important addition to our team for the stretch run. We welcome him and look forward to integrating him into the group."
The Barranquilla, Colombia, native tallied eight goals and six assists in 33 matches played (25 starts) in his first season with the Rapids in 2021. Prior to joining Colorado, Barrios totaled 37 goals and 50 assists in 211 matches played (180 starts) across all competitions in six seasons with FC Dallas (2015-20), including helping the club win the 2016 Supporters' Shield and the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
