La Fiera Score Early; Win Big
HIDALGO, Texas - Hidalgo La Fiera scored five goals in nine minutes to defeat Saltillo-Rancho Seco by a final score of 16-3 on Sunday evening at State Farm Arena.
La Fiera (2-1) scored the first goal with four minutes gone by when Carlos Farias slotted home an Armando Teran pass to make it 1-0.
Farias would then assist on the next two goals by Erick Flores and Joel Garcia to extend the Hidalgo lead to 3-0.
Teran then set up the next two goals when Garcia and Robson de Souza then made it 5-0 at the end of the first quarter.
At the start of the second quarter Hidalgo would added to its lead when Flores scored an unassisted goal to make it 6-0.
Saltillo Rancho Seco (1-2) would score five minutes into the second quarter courtesy of a Isai Ramos goal which was a power play goal that made it 6-1.
La Fiera would respond with four goals to end the first half making 10-1 at halftime.
Hidalgo would add three goals in the third quarter padding their lead to 13-1 when Leo Casanova, Angel Sanchez, and Juan Jalomo were the scores.
Saltillo added a pair of goals in the final quarter courtesy of Ramos which gave him a trick and made it 13-3.
Flores earned his hat trick in the final quarter which made it 15-3. Juan Antonio Vargas made it 16-3 on an unassisted goal.
The next game for Hidalgo La Fiera is on Friday, November 22, on the road versus Tulsa Revolution at the Cox Business Center with the kickoff set for 7:05 pm. The next home game for la La Fiera is on Sunday, December 15th when they host the Monterrey Flash.
