November 17, 2013 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Tulsa Revolution News Release
The Tulsa Revolution played well against a very tough and experienced Dallas Sidekick team on Saturday night in Dallas, however the Sidekicks held on for a 7-5 win.
Dallas opened the scoring early with two quick goals in the first quarter, but the Revolution responded with back-to-back goals by David Parente and Franck Tayou.
The Sidekicks took a 3-2 in the second quarter, and then extended the lead to 5-2, before Tayou scored his second of the game on a power play. Following three quarters of play Dallas led 7-3.
In the fourth quarter, Tulsa held the Sidekicks scoreless, but fell just short of a comeback. Tulsa got a goal from Michael Poneys (power play) and Tayou netted his third of the game, but it wasn't enough to catch the Sidekicks.
Dallas led Tulsa in shots on goal, 25-15. Tulsa was 2-for-3 on power play opportunities while Dallas converted 3-of4.
The Revolution's record dropped to 0-3, and the team is looking forward to playing their first home game of the season this Friday night at the Cox Business Center. Tulsa will host Hildalgo LaFiera, at 7:00 p.m. For ticket information; 1-877-TULSACC (885-7222).
