PHARR, Texas - Hidalgo La Fiera edged the Dallas Sidekicks by a final score of 4-3 on Sunday evening at the Golazo Sports Park.

La Fiera scored the opening goal during the first quarter on a power play opportunity which was converted by Jose Perez and was assisted by Edgar Flores giving them a 1-0 lead.

Dallas (7-2) responded with a pair of Cameron Brown goals during the second quarter which gave them a brief 2-1.

Hidalgo (5-3) responded with a pair of Angel Sanchez goals that gave them a 3-2 lead going into halftime.

La Fiera scored another power play goal in the third quarter when Alejandro Morales made it a 4-2 game and a valuable insurance goal.

Dallas responded with a fourth quarter goal when Robert Luevano scored on a Nestor Hernandez pass that made it a 4-3.

Juan Gamboa made some key saves to preserve the victory and stopped a Cody Ellis shot with 30 seconds left in the game. Gamboa was the winner and had 16 saves while improving his record to 4-3 in the season.

Hidalgo will close out 2014 with two more matches at Golazo Sports Park with the first game happening on December 26th when they will host Saltillo Rancho Seco with the kickoff set for 7:05 pm and the 27th hosting Monterrey Flash with the kickoff set for 7:05 pm.

Hidalgo La Fiera are members of the Major Arena Soccer League with 23 teams located across the United States and Mexico.
