La Fiera Grind Overtime Road Win
TULSA, Oklahoma - Hidalgo La Fiera earned its first road win grinding out a 7-6 overtime victory on the road over the Tulsa Revolution on Friday night at Cox Business Center.
La Fiera (3-1) scored the first goal with over a minute gone by in the first quarter when Erick Flores scored his fifth goal of the season making it 1-0.
Hidalgo would then incremented to its lead when Damian Garcia slotted home a Carlos Farias pass that made it 2-0.
Tulsa (0-4) got on the board in the first quarter when Frank Tayou scored cutting Hidalgo's lead in half to 2-1. The Revolution tied the game at two when Tayou assisted David Parente early in the second period to level things.
La Fiera would take the lead into halftime when Edgar Flores scored the go-ahead goal making it 3-2 at the break. Hidalgo padded its lead after the break Erick Flores scored his sixth goal of the season giving Hidalgo a 4-2 lead.
Tulsa trimmed deficit on Michael Poneys goal making it 4-3, which was assisted by Dominique Nagaya.
La Fiera would add pair of goals increase their lead to 6-3 when Joel Perez and newcomer Noe De Los Santos scored.
The Revolution would come back to score a third period goal to make it a two goal deficit when Thomas Shannon made it 6-4. In the final period, Tulsa would score a pair of goals to send the game into overtime when Levi Coleman and Parente made it six all.
In the overtime period, Hidalgo only needed over three minutes to finalize the match when Alejandro Morales slotted the game winner making it 7-6.
The next game for Hidalgo La Fiera is on Saturday, November 23, on the road versus Wichita B52's at the Hartman Arena with the kickoff set for 7:05 pm. The next home game for la La Fiera is on Sunday, December 15th when they host the Monterrey Flash.
