TULSA, OK - Alejandro Morales scored the game winning goal in overtime to give the Hidalgo La Fiera a 7-6 win over the Tulsa Revolution, Friday night at the Cox Business Center.
Hidalgo opened the scoring with two goals in the first quarter, by Erick Flores and Damian Garcia. Tulsa answered with a goal Franck Tayou. At the start of the second quarter Tulsa's David Parente scored to tie the game, 2-2. Flores scored his second of the game to give Hidalgo a 3-2 lead going into halftime.
In the third quarter Flores scored a hat trick to give Hidalgo a two goal lead. Then Michael Poneys scored for Tulsa. Hidalgo got a pair of goals by Joel Perez and Noe De Los Santos to extend their lead to 6-3. However, Broken Arrow native Thomas Shannon shot a rocket from the neutral zone to the far upper corner of the goal to cut La Fiera's lead.
In the fourth quarter, Tulsa scored on a touch header by Broken Arrow native Levi Coleman, followed by a shot by Parente to tie the game and send it to overtime.
Morales scored just three minutes into the overtime period to give La Fiera the win.
