La Crosse Win Streak Hits 10 in 9-4 Victory Over Bombers

BATTLE CREEK, MI - The La Crosse Loggers used a five-run seventh inning to pull away from the Battle Creek Bombers, as they took game two of the series 9-4.

Boomer Collins went 3-5 with 2 RBI, including a solo home run to lead off the fourth. Sikes Orvis was the bright spot for Battle Creek, as he went 3-4 with an RBI. Alex Tukey also pitched two shutout innings of relief out of the Bombers bullpen with two strikeouts.

James Guillen picked up the win for the Loggers, pitching six solid innings. He surrendered just two runs and struck out three.

The series concludes on Wednesday night at C.O. Brown Stadium. Brian Valente will start on the mound for the Bombers.
