Kyle McNulty's Effort Voted CHL Performance of the Week

(Tempe, AZ) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Mississippi goaltender Kyle McNulty has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week for the week of March 1-7. The RiverKings goaltender recorded 35 saves in his team's 2-1 shootout win over the Allen Americans on March 6. McNulty injected life in the 'Kings after signing as a free agent on March 5 after being released by the Arizona Sundogs where he played 24 games.

The Wakefield, Rhode Island native received 681 votes accounting for 38% of the vote. McNulty finished ahead of Rapid City goaltender Danny Battochio who was a candidate thanks to his 34-save shutout of Tulsa on March 5. Battochio secured 22% of the 1,816 votes cast in the weekly poll.

The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week 22 of the season for the period beginning on March 8 and ending on March 14 are as follows:

-Allen's Tyler Wooddisse's two goals including overtime game winner in 5-4 win at Rapid City on March 12

-Amarillo's Mike Brown making 41 saves in shutout of Wichita on March 13

-Rapid City's Scott Wray scoring game winning goal with 1:14 remaining in regulation in 5-4 win vs. Allen on March 13

-Colorado's 11-goal outburst in 11-6 win vs. Tulsa on March 12

-Laredo's Pier-Olivier Pelletier making 34 saves in shootout win over Texas on March 14

Fans can vote for the winner until Monday, March 22 with the winner being announced on Tuesday, March 23.
