Kruzel Rejoins Bandits As Hitting Coach
May 5, 2010 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
Joe Kruzel has taken over again as the acting hitting instructor for the River Bandits. Mitchell Page has served in that role for the Bandits this season but returned home for personal reasons this week.
Kruzel is in his third season with the Cardinals organization and he was originally slated to join 2008 & '09 Bandits pitching coach Ace Adams in Batavia with the Muckdogs. Kruzel served as the hitting coach for the River Bandits for two seasons from '08-'09. The coaching veteran joined the Cardinals organization after spending two years coaching in the Cincinnati Reds organization.
The Bandits are currently in the middle of a three-game series with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. They will return home to open a seven-game homestand on Friday as the Bandits kick off the four-day Circle of Life promotion.
UP NEXT: Though baseball season has bloomed, Modern Woodmen Park provides a great special events venue while the River Bandits are on the road during the 2010 season. It's not too late to purchase season ticket and mini-plan packages - including the brand new Super Seven Plan - right now by calling (563) 3-BANDIT or visiting RiverBandits.com.
