San Jose Earthquakes News Release

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Local legend and inventor of the wave Krazy George will debut his book "Still Krazy After All These Cheers" at the San Jose Earthquakes' match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Buck Shaw Stadium.

Krazy George will be available in the Epicenter Fan Zone before kickoff from 5:30-7:15 p.m. to sign copies of his 311-page biography, written by himself and his wife Patricia Timberg. He will also be in the stands during the game to get fans riled up with his trademark drum.

The former San Jose State student became a popular figure in Bay Area sports during the mid-1970s. He began with the Earthquakes - then of the North American Soccer League - by leading cheers at Spartan Stadium. He also invented the wave at an Oakland A's game on Oct. 15, 1981. Krazy George has also popped up at San Jose Giants games, home events for San Jose State, a number of NFL games and both World Cups hosted by the United States.

For more information about Krazy George or to book him for an appearance, fans can visit www.krazygeorge.com . His biography will be on sale at the club's match on Aug. 30 at retail locations around the stadium.
