SAN ANTONIO – Jan. 18, 2004 – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Bobby Jay announced today that the Florida Panthers recalled defenseman Lukas Krajicek after Panthers defenseman Jay Bouwmeester fractured his foot Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Krajicek, 20, earns his second stint with Florida this season, after appearing in five games with the Panthers earlier this season. San Antonio (17-15-6-0; 40 pts.) will begin a three-game road trip beginning Wed., Jan. 21 in Cincinnati before hosting the Syracuse Crunch on Sun., Jan. 25 at 5 p.m.

Bouwmeester is expected to miss two to six weeks.
