FRASER, MI-Kevin St. Pierre was stellar in net making every save thrown his way as the Mechanics lose tonight 4-0 at the Great Lakes Sports City Superior Arena in front of 1,253 fans.
Through two periods of play both teams were playing a tight defensive game as neither team wanted to give up a goal. Eventually in the third period the Komets were the team that struck as they reeled off four straight and took the game with that same score.
Kevin St. Pierre made 46 saves to earn his third shutout of the season.
Rod Branch made his 53rd start in net and 24th start in a row by making 32 saves in defeat.

The Mechanics return home next Friday and Saturday. Friday the Mechanics face the Rockford IceHogs and Saturday the Mechanics face the Roanoke Valley Vipers. Both games start at 7:30 PM.
The "Name that Line" contest is underway as many entries have already been submitted. Fans have until midnight on February 28th to submit their entries to name the Edinger, Szabo, Gretzky line. The winning name will be revealed on March 3rd during the first intermission.
