Richmond RiverDogs News Release

GLEN FALLS, NY - Two goal night from Hugo Belanger along with a three assist game from Kevin Watters powered the Adirondack Frostbite to a 5-1 victory over the Richmond RiverDogs. Mike Oliveira got the lone goal for the RiverDogs, getting the tally in the 3rd period and spoiling the Adirondack shutout attempt. For Oliveira, it is his 42nd goal of the season, breaking the record for most goals in a season, held by David Brosseau in 2004-2005. The goal also extends Oliveira's point scoring streak to 23 games, second longest in the UHL. The RiverDogs record is now 26-24-5, 59 points and tied for the 8th and final playoff spot with Quad City, who lost in a shootout against Missouri earlier this afternoon.

The RiverDogs will take a few days off before traveling to Elmira to face the Jackals, Sunday, March 5, in the second game of a six game road swing. The next RiverDogs game at the Richmond Coliseum is Wednesday, March 22nd, when they play host to Roanoke Valley at 7:05 pm.
