
Komets claim Tataryn off waivers

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today that they have claimed winger Josh Tataryn off waivers from the Roanoke Valley Vipers.
Tataryn, 23, is in his third year as a pro after joining the Komets near the end of the 2003 season and skating with the Komets to the Colonial Cup Championship that year. Tataryn began the year appearing in 26 games with Roanoke before being acquired by Elmira. The winger skated 26 games for Elmira before returning to Roanoke for 2 games before being acquired by the Komets off waivers from Roanoke.
The Komets also claimed defenseman Mike Dombkiewicz off waivers Friday. Dombkiewicz and Tataryn have been activated to the Komet roster and will be available for play today when the Komets host the Missouri River Otters at 5pm.
The Komets also announced today that center Noah Whyte has been placed on waivers. Whyte appeared in 12 games scoring 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes.
